In Torre del Lago the
traditional appointment with the immortal operas by Giacomo Puccini. In
2007 the following opera are on schedule: “Madama Butterfly”, “La
Tosca”, “La Boheme” and “La Rondine”.

SETTEMBRE LUCCHESE
– September –
A series of folklore and
cultural events. Fairs and street markets in Lucca’s old town centre and
close surroundings.
The highlight is the “Luminara di Santa Croce” on the evening of
September 13th. In the old town centre the front side of
houses and palaces are covered with lights to greet a religious
procession along the main streets in a charming setting. Voluntary
associations, parishes, local authorities and a parade of people wearing
medieval costumes.

– October/November –
Italy most important comics
and role – playing exhibition which lures thousands of visitors every
year to Lucca.

– February –
One of the most famous
carnivals in Italy with a big parade of allegoric floats and masks in
Viareggio.

ANTIQUE MARKET –
The street antique market
take place the 3rd weekend of every month (Saturday and
Sunday). The stalls are situated in the old town centre in Piazza San
Martino, Piazza San Giusto and its surrounding.

of pictures by contemporary artists.
On the 3rd weekend of every
